Quera Tours
This adventure takes you to the Embera Quera community the end of Gatun river and enjoy exquisit traditional lunch. You can share in dances and music that you will transport you into times of the past. You can visit an interpretative footpath called the "Golden Collared Manakin", guided by a botanist of the community, who explains the importance of the plants to the Embera. Also, you can practice on the "Trapiche", an instrument made of wood which squeezes the sugar cane to see how sweet the juice is.
Finally, you will be able to see and to buy a variety of handicrafts made by the inhabitants of the community.
The Tour Includes: a roundtrip by aquatic transport and a traditional lunch.
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (From the port of the Gatun river).

The Embera Adventure really begings when we greet you at the Rio Gatun.
Before the program of music, dance and food, you can go on a walk in nature and listen to the birds singing and learn about the plants. After having ended the tour guided with the botanist, provided that our village is new, also you can see the last house in construction.
We can show ours traditional skills of construction! Also they feel at liberty to play futboll with the children, or simply to walk and to observe and do all the questions that you wants. We like to share our culture.
Around you: the blue sky, the green jungle, and the red, orange and yellow of our clothing and all the flowers you see are naturally picked right our village. Panama and northwest Colombia and our village are exactly the same as you would find in those deeper jungles. We are indeed Eco-friendly. We are actually not far from city life, but we live simply with our traditional government of our community.
